Cyse 605: Leadership MGMT:
This course aims to explore and teach basic leadership and management topics within cybersecurity. The course will build upon a foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and first address the basic leadership functions like team building, communication, performance evaluation and risk management. All these functions will be discussed with their relevance in a cybersecurity framework. The course will also focus on the management topics in information security and examine planning, strategy development tasks in cybersecurity, current legislation and managers’ role in increasing cybersecurity awareness.
Leadership & Management Final Paper
For this particular assignment students were asked to write a 3500 - 4000 research paper on a topic of our choosing. I chose to write about effective communication within an organization. Effective communication is an essential leadership trait at every level in an organization, and in this paper I developed a strategic communication plan that included a message, company goals, and target audience while discussing management and leadership approaches to implementing this plan.
